Advantages of being ill

Yeah, I'm ill again. The flu. Have been the whole week actually. It's not as bad as the last time but still I couldn't go skiing with my best friend as I was supposed to ('cause we've had holidays this week) *sigh*
Anyways, yesterday the guy I tutor in English called me and asked if I could come today. Normally we have lessons on Mondays but he hasn't been at school for quite a long time so his mum forced him to call me to help him with the stuff he missed. Well, me being ill and all, I've been sneezing and coughing the whole time but apparently he hasn't minded. His grandmother has noticed as well though and when I've been about to leave she's been like 'Aww, you're so ill young lady, you need a bowl of hot soup.' And before I've managed to sneak out she's given me the soup and then even lunch. Needless to say I've been beyond embarrassed but frankly, there's been no way to escape, eh. However, in the end it's come handy 'cause I haven't had to spend my own money on lunch. Still, I feel kind of bad about it.
Yeah, random story from my random life.

Date: 2008-02-08 04:38 pm (UTC)And I've noticed you were smoking in some of the pics you posted (at least I think so). Smoking is bad! *shakes finger* Although I can't deny I'm a social smoker, ahem lol But yeah, that's an agreement, illnesses suck=/

Date: 2008-02-08 06:56 pm (UTC)i can see why you'd feel awkward/embarrassed about the whole soup and lunch thing. i can't really say i wouldn't have felt the same way, but hey, if she wouldn't even let you escape, then apparently, she really wanted you to have soup! so i just think, if people are willing to give, why not take? :)

Date: 2008-02-08 11:20 pm (UTC)Well, I'm pretty sure the grandmother was more than willing to give but that didn't make me feel any less awkward. I just hope I won't be like that when I'm old lol

Date: 2008-02-08 10:19 pm (UTC)I found sweet his grandmother's gesture! She probably knew what brat of a grandson she has dragging you for lessons when you're ill!

Date: 2008-02-08 10:59 pm (UTC)Well, he is a brat but she's kinda weird herself. But God, I thought I'd die of embarrassment, no kidding. Anyways, I think he caught my flu though *evil laughter*
