I've always loved books but lately (without me even realizing it) it's grown into an obsession. Or maybe a fetish. I've wanted to buy Requiem for a dream by Hubert Selby for a while (have seen the movie recently, loved it) but couldn't find it anywhere. And today,  I've gone to a bookshop which was kinda a last resort and, believe it or not, they've had it! I've almost orgasmed right there and then, no kidding. Then I've realized they had also Naked Lunch by William Burroughs and that's been too much for me, had to leave... lol

I mean, I don't even read THAT much, just love books. Buying them, even only looking at them... I know I'm weird.

Requiem For A Dream By Hubert Selby Jr is one of the best books I have ever read, I think you'll love it. It my second fav book of all time!!! I had to get it ordered in when I wanted it (I had borrwed it out from the liabary and was sick of having to borrow it out over and over). It awesome!! Anyway I need to go to bed before I pass out right here on the chair but I just wanted to rant a little first lol Enjoy the book!!

My fav Book is tie between High Rise By J.G Ballard and Prozac Nation By Elizabeth Wurtzel. They are both really really good. Fight Club is my thrid fav, the book is just as awesome as the movie! I read alot and my list of favs tends to change depending on my mood lol, but these are some books that I just really, really love. If you read Prozac Nation you should also check out More, Now and Aagin by Elizabeth Wurtzel (Its sort of a sequal to Prozac Nation). I'm a big J.G Ballard fan but his writing is not for the light at heart, just warning you in case you do decided to check out his stuff. *hugs*

Oh, haven't even heard about those! 'Kay, I think that 'Prozac Nation' rings some bells but that's about it. Anyways, I'll remember those and will check them out someday when I'm done with the 'to read' pile lying in front of me lol And you don't have to worry about me, I'm kind of a pervert=) My Top 5 would certainly make 'A Clockwork Orange' by Anthony Burgess which isn't light at all=) or I did read some (hardcore) stuff by Marquis de Sade *blush*

But I'm the same, I have a few books I totally adore but my faves change with my mood lol Erm, have you read anything else by Palahniuk other than Fight Club? Just curious=)

No I haven't but I want to, a friend of mind gave me a rec'd me one but I forgot the name, I'm pretty sure it had diary in the tittle. I haven't read 'A Clockwork Orange' but I want to. Prozac Nation was made into a movie, but the movie sucked, I'm a big fan of the book and was looking forward to seeing the movie and I was highly disappointed with it. You've read the Marquis de Sade, that is so cool!!

It's actually called Diary lol I haven't read it but I have it=) But from what I've heard Palahniuk starts to repeat himself and the latest books aren't so good... I've read Haunted and it really was nothing special. But from the oldish ones 'Survivor' is really awesome!!=)

Hm, I don't think I've seen the Prozac Nation movie. I'll have to find out how it's been translated to Czech though, if it ever was, that is. And most people would tell me I've gone out of my mind reading de Sade he he it really is quite perverted, ahem.
